"Our faces are hugely important, whether you chose to wear make up or not. They are, in a cheesy sort of way, the window to our soul, they tell a story, portraying our emotions, our health and our heritage. The methods in which we decide to decorate them is, in my opinion, hugely insightful into who we are."
My life is almost taken over by my love and need for cosmetic products. I read and watch beauty reviews religiously and try out a different tutorial at least once a week. But I often wonder what it would be like to be one of those people who don't feel the need to wear make up, who are comfortable enough in their own skin to naturally embrace it.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I love make up. I just wish I didn't need it.
Because I am now so used to wearing make up on a daily basis, I find it almost impossible to look at myself without it. I pick at every flaw and imperfection I see and quickly grab the nearest cosmetic product to make myself feel better. This is my own state of mind that I want to change and I've been searching for answers for so long on how I can feel more comfortable bare faced. For example, I can never, ever, leave the house without some form of make up on. Not because of vanity, but because I can't shake off the feeling that everyone would be looking at me because I'm not made up. I am aware this probably isn't the case but it always niggles away at the back of my mind.
If anyone knows any tips, tricks or just has some advice I would love to hear from you.
